THE PIRATES TAVERN
The Pirates Tavern is the clubroom of the Williamstown Maritime Associations members and guests, and is also open to the general public. It has a wonderful ambience and maritime flavour, and is one of Melbourne’s hidden gems.
The Tavern is a licensed venue, and to comply with liquor licensing laws all non-members of the WMA must sign the temporary register located inside the front entrance and at the Bar. If you attend the Tavern on a regular basis you may like to consider joining the WMA. Proceeds from the Tavern go back into the site, so by patronising the Tavern you are helping the Seaworks vision become a reality.
Functions at the Pirates Tavern
If you are thinking of having a function, our Tavern Manager can assist with all aspects of planning. The Pirates Tavern can offer a range of catering packages to suit all tastes. On the other hand, feel free to arrange your own catering, for which a small charge of $5.00 per head applies.
All enquiries should be directed to Tavern Manager Wendy Pelns (0403 702 734).
Bookings for functions can only be made through the Tavern Manager. Early bookings are essential as our calendar for the year fill up quickly. Some functions require security, details from the Tavern Manager. Hours of trading during special events can be found on our Web Page and our Facebook (Pirates Tavern Williamstown (Official).

Music and Events
The Tavern is renowned for its live music, with bands performing every Friday night and every Sunday during daylight savings hours and every 1st and 3rd Sunday during non daylight savings times. The Tavern can be booked for functions, and is a very popular venue for special occasions such as parties, weddings and corporate events.
We welcome people dressing up in pirates’ costumes to add to the atmosphere. The Tavern is family-oriented, with children welcome. It’s a great place to relax and watch the ever-changing scenery of ships coming and going from the Port of Melbourne. The beautiful vista across the bay to Melbourne is one of the city’s best-kept secrets.
